Since graduating from the Cinematography course at The National Film & Television School in the UK, Gavin Finney BSC has photographed many feature films and major television dramas. Most recently he won the BSC Best Cinematography award, The GTC Award and the Bulldog Award for the critically acclaimed WOLF HALL (Golden Globe winner 2016). He also won the BAFTA, RTS and BSC best cinematography awards for THE FEAR in 2013 - the first time all three major awards have been won by the same person in the same year. He received the Royal Television Society Award for GOING POSTAL in 2010 and for GORMENGHAST in 2000, and received BAFTA nominations for WOLF HALL in 2016,  GOING POSTAL in 2011 and HOGFATHER in 2007 and RTS nominations for WOLF HALL and THE ENGLISH WIFE. Gavin was invited to join the prestigious British Society of Cinematographers in 1998 and was President of the BSC from 2006-2008 when he received the Arri / John Alcott award.
